TYREOPS IS BUILT WITH SUSTAINABILITY AS ONE OF ITS CORE VALUES.

TyreOps design was not just about how to maximise tyre businesses operational and business performance but how it can leap sustainability forward for tyre services and fleet operations. By prolonging tyre life through incentivising repairs, retreading, recycling, and reducing premature tyre disposals, we want to highlight our thoughts behind some of TyreOps features to make the most of tyres we in the world have.

THE STORY OF WHERE SUSTAINABILITY IN THE TYRE INDUSTRY IS TODAY

  • Governmental
  • Associations
  • Software
  • Technology

THE SLOW BUT POSITIVE MOVEMENTS OF GOVERNMENTS

Tyre fire ban. Businesses taking responsibility for safe tyre disposals. Shredding end of life tyres port side for more efficient shipping to 3rd world countries. These are just some of the new laws placed by UK & European governments to ensure that tyres are “disposed off safely”. However, much more is needed to be done and its slow to move forward on this as it keeps shipping ELT’s to third world countries were the pyrolysis plants are filled with pollution. However, there has been an uptake by the government to support local Tyre Recycling plants and allowing companies to innovate recycling technologies to recover as much raw material cleanly. The UK Government in 2019 refreshed the Environmental Bill to give new powers to try and stop the exporting of ELT tyres and to handle this locally. The further rumours of a “Green Bank” and ban on petrol and diesel cars by 2030 outline the goals of going into a greener future. Although the motives are great, a collective effort, time, and ongoing effort needed for this move will take time.

A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT & MORE MEDIA CONTENT

In 2018, the Tyre Recovery Association (TRA) and National Tyre Distribution Association (NTDA) announced a closer collaborative effort to fuel a transparent and efficient tyre recovery infrastructure. Although much of the information is internal, the significance of this announcement shows a sense of unity to pursue greener practices within the tyre industry.

Furthermore, Tyre Media Outlets honed more focus into tyre recycling, creating dedicated news sites such as tyreandrubberrecycling.com, podcasts, magazines, youtube videos and more all surrounding the significant tyre recycling sector. With driving viewership, the media will play a critical roll in not only attracting existing tyre recycling enthusiasts but attract a new generation into green jobs.

A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT & MORE MEDIA CONTENT

With the launch of TyreOps as an innovative leader within the tyre industry, the software targets existing ineffeciciencies within tyre operations as well as informing you of its environmental impact. From purchasing a tyre to tyre disposal, there is a lot in-between which allows us to make sure this journey is as long as possible. We built ways of tracking and recording tyres in jobs, customer own property stock, part worn stock, tyre repairs, and casing returns for retreading across your business and tyre service network for your customers.

Working from a cloud means a lot of things. It means lower energy consumptions from supporting your own servers and multiple hardware. It means you can reduce your travel to fixed locations for admin. It means you can significantly reduce your paper consumption. It means a lot.

GREENER TECHNOLOGIES LEAD TO GREENER PROFITS

Companies such as Black Bear Carbon, Pyrenergy, 2G Biopower, Enviro and more are paving the way to in new technologies, most of which greatly improve the Pyrolysis recycling method with greater recovery, higher quality raw materials, and significantly reduce or offset the carbon footprint.

Best of all, these new technologies pioneering from Europe and Australia are setting up local industrial sites to recycle End-Of-Life tyres, significantly reducing the export to third world countries from 89% to 0%. These sites are set to go live fully in 2022, giving another example to the world of greener practices making good profits.
